| So this little band I have been playing in played a show in statesville saturday night and I got talking to the pastor there, Chip, about tattooing and church and stuff like that. He starts to talk about his recent tattoo travels and mentioned he recently tattoo'd in dallas and will be speaking there later this summer. He asked me if i was familiar with nation of the underground; i chuckled and said "ya, i'm familiar." So we talk some more about DBC houston and i got to talk about how micah and bryan are the best guys on the planet, and Chip mentions that Bryan is coming to statesville to talk in July. Needless to say i have been feeling like a kid on christmas eve since hearing that. So today, probably because I am thinking about bryan and other old friends, i was looking up a whole bunch of profiles on myspace today to check on people....and for some reason i started feeling real sad. I can't put a finger on why checkin on people made me feel sad, but it did. I just hope everyone's doing well. It stinks that it's so hard to keep up with current friends, family scattered all about the country, old friends scattered all over the country, and everyone in between. | so, we moved in to our new house in Granite Falls, NC. its been a blast so far. i will get some pics up sooner than later just in case someone is interested.
i work for the phone company now (Embarq). Two weeks in and going strong. The money is good and it works with my future school schedule.
I am playing in an indie rock band which has been a lot of fun. Looks like we are going to open for a string of Philmont shows. Remember that Christian pop punk band from yesteryear? Well, apparently they are from Charlotte and we got connected with them somehow. Should be fun.
If anyone is coming east this summer, we would be glad to put you up. now that we have a guest bedroom, we can offer something a bit better than a spot on the sofa.

i cut my hair too short and look how upset i am about it. what a fake tough guy that one is.....
well, we are getting ready to move into a house in granite falls which is the next town north of hickory. really excited about it. jackie's folks are planning to visit us in june and believe it or not i am really excited about that too. there are all kinds of cool things out here to share with company.
i am trying to get a job at the new lowes hardware that is about to open. substituting is going great but real work for the summer and beyond would be nice.
i got accepted to Appalachain State to complete my education degree. i am super pumped about that.
the weather is great, the scenery is green again, and good times are in store | | |
